Why We Built This Tool
With the release of ChatGPT and GPT, writing changed forever. While AI is an incredible assistant, it created a new problem for education: how do we verify originality?
We noticed that existing AI detectors were either expensive, full of annoying ads, or required sign-ups that compromised student privacy. We built AI Essay Checker Online to be the free, privacy-first alternative.

How Detection Works
Our algorithm analyzes text patterns that are typical of Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT and Gemini.
We understand the fear of having your work stolen or stored in a database.
We do not store your essays.
Your text is processed in real-time in your browser session and is permanently discarded the moment you leave the page.
Our Ethical Stance
We are not “anti-AI”. We use AI ourselves to write code! However, we believe in:
- Transparency: If AI wrote it, you should know. Honesty is key in education.
- Humanity: Critical thinking and personal expression are skills that must be preserved.
- Fairness: False positives happen. Our tool provides a probability score, not a definitive verdict. We always encourage human review.
